About Lincoln Park PAL SoftballLincoln Park PAL Girls Softball seeks to provide a fun and exciting environment for players of various ages and abilities. In support of this goal, the league consists of both recreation and travel teams. The recreation league consists of multiple divisions, based on age, and is for players from kindergarten through middle school. The primary emphasis is on education, skills development, participation for players at all levels of athletic ability, and team play. We work with our players to help them understand the game more strategically and to develop a lifelong love of the sport. Games and practices take place in Lincoln Park. No tryouts are required and all players who register in a timely fashion are assigned to a team. The season runs from mid-April through early June. Recreation league softball divisions are T-Ball, Instructional (Coach Pitch), Minors and Majors. Lincoln Park also fields three travel teams (10U, 12U and 14U). The Angels travel teams compete in league play against teams from other towns in Northern New Jersey. Tournament play can take our travel girls a little further from home. League and tournament play run from April through July. The travel teams are selected from open tryouts that take place in the fall and provide an opportunity for those players seeking a more competitive softball environment.
